Mission Statement

We aim to be a Community Centre, accountable to our members, offering accessible, quality services, working to respond to a wide range of local needs.

Aims

• To provide facilities and opportunities for local people of all ages, abilities and cultures to be actively involved with improving their quality of life; and to ensure that wherever possible resources are targeted to the socially excluded.
• To create opportunities for training, education, work and play for the very young, older people disabled people, youths and adults.
  To emphasize active involvement. Children, young people and adults will have the opportunity to choose activities in a relaxed, supportive and well managed environment.
• To create an environment that stimulates users’ personal development and confidence.
• To be managed by the local people for themselves, thus having an invigorating effect on our community.
• Achieving financial independence through general income, contracts and developmental grants.
• To work to improve services and amenities for the wider community.

Objectives

• The provision of a broad, balanced range of services which attempts to meet identified needs of all members of the community.
• The encouragement and development of independent, self help groups.
• The provision of equal access to all services.
• The creation of an enjoyable and purposeful learning environment.
• The provision of friendly, supportive, secure, safe and welcoming environment where people feel valued.
• The maintenance of an ethos of trust and mutual respect.
• Using resources in a way that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
